Every figure below is a starting point, not a limit. Sizes, thicknesses and structures are built to your product.
This is what makes a file print right the first time. If yours is not there yet, send it anyway — our pre-press team fixes artwork every day, and we will tell you what needs changing before it costs you a cylinder.
File format
A print-ready PDF, or AI/EPS with every font outlined. A layered PSD works too — 300 dpi at the final printed size.
Colours
Name every spot colour by its Pantone reference. We separate for rotogravure and send you a proof before a single cylinder is engraved.
Die-line & safety margins
We send you the die-line for your bag before you start. Build on that layer, keep 5 mm of bleed on every edge, and hold text and logos 6 mm clear of seals, gussets and the tear notch.
Images
300 dpi at 100% of the printed size. A logo pulled off a website will not survive a gravure cylinder.
Barcodes
Put the barcode on a flat, light panel — never across a gusset or a seal. Leave the quiet zone empty, and we will verify it before the run.
